Polycrystalline diamond micropowder is made from graphite by using a unique directional blasting method. The shock wave of directional blasting of high-explosive explosives accelerates the flying of metal flakes and hits graphite flakes, resulting in the transformation of graphite into polycrystalline diamond. Its structure is very similar to that of natural carbonado diamond. Its particles are composed of tiny diamond grains combined by unsaturated bonds, and have good toughness. Less, the product cost is higher, and the particle size that can be provided in batches is not greater than 10 microns, which limits its application field.
